The Dachstein West ski region is located in the heart of Austria. A versatile ski region where both experienced skiers and families with children feel at home. The elevator system is modern and the slopes are provided with snow by modern snow installations. The Dachstein-West ski region is not very high, the slopes reach an altitude of 1700 meters. The main ski area of Skiregion Dachstein-West stretches between Gosau, Rußbach and Annaberg. In this wide ski area you can ski the 44 km long ski tour ‘Panaronda’. Highly recommended!
Ideal for families
The Skiregion Dachstein-West has been popular among families with children for years. Prices for ski passes and accommodations are lower than elsewhere in the region and the ski areas are very child-friendly. Brumsiland in Gosau, Bärencamp in Rußbach and Fuxi’s Kinderland in Annaberg-Astenwinkel are good examples of this. For cross-country skiers and hikers, there are also numerous routes in the Dachstein West ski region. The Dachstein West ski region consists of several subregions, such as Gosau-Rußbach-Annaberg, the Karkogel near Abtenau and the Krippenstein near Obertraun. With the ski pass for the entire region you have access to 160 kilometers of slopes.
